METASSINTESE: SÍNTESE DE ESTUDOS QUALITATIVOS
Sinopse
Estima-se que as primeiras sínteses de estudos qualitativos em âmbito internacional foram desenvolvidas por Glaser e Strauss, no final da década de 1960 e início da década seguinte. Esses sociólogos, que criaram a Teoria Fundamentada nos Dados (TFD), publicaram o livro Status Passage, em que apresentaram os resultados de quatro sínteses de estudos qualitativos que focalizavam o processo de morrer e outras experiências profundas de transição vivenciadas pelo homem. Essa síntese, que consistia numa extensão da TFD, foi desenvolvida mediante comparações de códigos com categorias já descritas na literatura, com outras que iam sendo descobertas pelos novos estudos que desenvolviam.
